Strong Girls ClubWho we are
We are a physiotherapy-led strength and community club for women navigating the middle of their life and beyond.
The philosophy of the club is rooted in science, biomechanics and clinical expertise, but it’s foundations are built from much more. This club exists to help women feel stronger in their life - more capable, more connected, and more resilient, through safe and fun strength training. The advantage of training with a physiotherapist is the care, intuition, and clinical expertise ‘brought to the bar’.
We don’t just build strength — we build women up.
You can easily find a place to go for strength training, but the Strong Girls Club is a place you’ll feel like you belong - a space where you can be bold, daring, and courageous.
What We Do – The Strong Girls Way
STRONG, NOT SCARY
SAFE, NOT SOFT
SUPPORTIVE, NOT JUDGEY
PROGRESS, NOT PERFORMATIVE
We believe progress matters more than perfection. We don’t measure your success with scales or performance data — you’ll feel the difference.
You’ll also notice a change in how you feel about strength training, one that secures your commitment to becoming stronger and healthier.
There’s no comparison or competition here.
We take things at your pace, allowing you to learn about and appreciate your strengths, your body, and how it moves.
But our goal is to encourage boldness — grabbing the opportunity to take on new physical challenges alongside the support of our community.
Here, you can take your space, be yourself, connect, and belong.
We don’t take ourselves too seriously, but our community takes strength training seriously. Confidence is built when we connect to our body and move well, acknowledge our power and strength, and use it in everyday living.
Moving with strength and lifting weights will empower you and change your life, one kilogram at a time.
Women who want to feel like themselves again. Only stronger.
Let’s introduce you to a few of our members:
Who We Are For
-
Awaiting a hip replacement, she didn’t realise how much there was to gain by getting as strong as she could pre-op. Now she’s not only reduced her symptoms by half, she’s ready for all the hard work post-op too.
-
Bored of going to the local gym, repeating the same exercises, and not knowing how to progress her programme so it actually felt challenging.
-
Who couldn’t stand the thought of going to an exercise class or fitness centre at her fitness level, finding it too intimidating and embarrassing.
-
Who always ended up injured whenever she took up a new exercise regime and could never find anyone she connected with to give her the right guidance.
-
Who just couldn’t stick to anything long enough, but has now found the motivation and enjoyment of challenging herself.
We are here for women who never thought ‘lifting weights was for them’ — until now.
“I joined Carly’s Strong Girls Club about 7 months ago and my only regret is that I didn’t join sooner!
Carly puts so much effort and thought into planning the classes and always has a goal in mind. I’ve grown stronger than I have been in years and can see progress every week, including managing my first-ever unassisted pull-up — something I never thought I’d be able to do.
If I had to pick just 3 reasons to join, they would be:
1. Carly makes every class challenging without it being intimidating, so you end up doing things you wouldn’t try otherwise.
2. She’s created loads of different classes, and it doesn’t matter what level of fitness or experience you’re at — there’s something for everyone, and she makes you feel welcome and at home immediately.
3. She’s created an environment where every woman there wants every other woman to succeed and will cheer you on. It’s the most supportive place I have found.
So don’t wait — be a strong girl with Carly!”
