Privacy Policy

Bodywell Therapy is dedicated to only using your personal information to streamline the service we provide to you. In line with the European Data Protection Laws (GDPR), the below policy explains how we use your data and your rights with regard to that data.

What information we collect:

If you visit our practice as a patient  we will ask for personal information - name and contact details (date of birth, address and email). During our consultation we will also ask you for details about your medical, social and occupational history. We may also receive information about you indirectly from a 3rd party referrer for example. This information will be held for 6 years.

How we use this information:

Medical notes, including personal details, are stored securely online in GDPR compliant databases. Medical records are accessible only by your treating physiotherapist, your contact details are accessible to administration staff and your treating physiotherapist, by a username and password protected system. We may use your information when referring onwards to a GP or consultant, but only with your consent. If your treatment is funded by a 3rd party (private health insurer) we are required to pass on information about your treatment to this provider. This will be discussed with you at each stage of this process. Your information is not shared with any other individuals or businesses. We will not share your contact information with any other individuals or organisations and we will only use it to contact you in relation to practice and treatment information and enquiries.

You need to give us permission to use your contact details for marketing purposes within this practice only - this includes practice newsletters, further education relating to your treatment or promotions run by this physiotherapy practice only. Your contact details for marketing purposes will be stored securely online in a GDPR compliant database. We will not share your information with any other individual or organisation. You can opt out of this at any point.

On occasion we may need to share your contact, payment or web browsing information with our third party service providers, who support the services we provide to you. For example, to provide you with something you have purchased from our website. Third party providers are contracted to use your personal information only for the provision of the services we are providing to you. Examples of third parties are payment processors or practice management system providers.

Payment Policy

Payment for consultation is due on the day of your appointment. Cash and all major cards are accepted. We do not accept cheques.

If you book your appointment online you will be required to confirm your booking with a 50% non refundable booking fee.

Cancellation Policy

We understand there may be times when you need to cancel your appointment. We ask that you make every attempt to cancel or reschedule appointments as early as you can. Your appointment slot can then be used to provide treatment to another patient who may be waiting longer.

Any cancellations within a 24 hour period of the appointment time will incur a charge equivalent to 50% of the treatment fee. If you have booked your appointment online, you will have already paid a non refundable deposit.
